Japanese WABI-SABI meets California HIGH DESERT! We serve Japanese-California Fusion cuisine, made from scratch using local plant-based ingredients. Traditional Japanese shapes and tastes combine with the heat and color of new California cooking.

We mix Japanese fusion with a laid-back California vibe — bold sushi, strong cocktails, and a space that feels easy to walk into and hard to leave. It’s made for sharing, hanging out, and ordering “one more” without overthinking it.

We prepare everything fresh and in-house, focusing on quality ingredients, bold flavors, and combinations that feel fun and a little unexpected. From sushi rolls to share plates and noodles, the food is made to be colorful, balanced, and easy to enjoy.

It’s clean, but still indulgent. Simple, but never boring.

Golden State started as an idea to bring together Japanese flavors, Cali surf culture, and a retro funky atmosphere — all in one place.

Over time, it became a spot where people naturally gather. Lunch turns into drinks, drinks turn into sunset, and before you know it, the music is on and the table is still full. Travelers, creatives, and locals all mix here. No big plans — just good timing.

Our restaurant feels just like home, and our Togo sofa is the star of the show! The atmosphere is fresh, fun, and laid-back, with soulful decor that makes you want to kick back and enjoy!
